Custom Sweatsuits Manufacturer for Matching Fleece and Terry Sets

A sweatsuit is two garments sold as one product. The hoodie and the jogger are cut separately, often from different rolls, and if they come back half a shade apart or shrink by different amounts, the set stops looking like a set. Lay the two pieces side by side, and your customer sees it straight away.

Mega Apparel makes custom sweatsuits in cotton fleece and French terry for streetwear labels, athleisure brands, retailers, and teams. We started in 2012, and around 2,000 labels have produced with us. Orders start at 35 sets per color. Mix the sizes however you like.

Sweatsuit or Tracksuit? Know Which One You Are Making

People use the two words for the same thing. On a factory floor they are different products. A sweatsuit is a knit set in cotton or a cotton blend, usually fleece or French terry, worn for comfort, lounging, and streetwear. A tracksuit is usually polyester tricot, taffeta, or velour, with zippers, a collar, and a smoother face, and it is built for warming up and the sideline.

Custom Shorts

Custom Sweatsuits We Manufacture

Hoodie and Jogger Sets

The standard build: a pullover or zip hoodie with a tapered jogger, ribbed cuffs and an elastic waistband with a drawcord.

Crewneck and Sweatpant Sets

A cleaner, older look. The pants finish in an open hem or a straight leg, which suits heritage and collegiate brands.

Quarter Zip Sets

A half or quarter zip top with matching pants. It looks a little more put together, so corporate and golf programs tend to pick it.

Oversized and Heavyweight Sets

Dropped shoulders, a boxy body, and stacked or wide pants cut in fleece of 400 GSM and up for streetwear labels.

Sweat Short Sets

A hoodie or crewneck paired with French terry sweat shorts for warm months and resort collections.

Women's and Cropped Sets

Cropped hoodies, fitted joggers, and high waistbands, drafted on a women's pattern from the start.

Fleece, French Terry, and Weight

Weight sets the drape, the warmth, and a good share of the price. Brushed fleece is napped on the inside, so it feels soft and runs warm. French terry has small loops inside instead. It breathes better, which is why it is the safer pick for sets worn all year.

Fabric Typical weight Best for
Lightweight French terry 240 to 280 GSM Spring and summer sets, sweat short sets
Midweight French terry 280 to 340 GSM Sets worn all year, the standard retail weight
Brushed fleece 320 to 400 GSM Warm, soft inside, classic winter sweatsuit
Heavyweight fleece 400 to 500 GSM Structured drape for oversized streetwear sets

Blend matters as much as weight. All cotton feels the most natural, but it shrinks and fades more. An 80/20 cotton and polyester blend holds its shape and pills less. A 50/50 blend is the most stable and costs the least. Organic cotton and recycled polyester are available in each, and we can supply GOTS or GRS documentation if you ask at the quote stage. It does add to the lead time.

Why Sweatsuit Sets Fall Out of Match, and How We Prevent It

A cotton sweatsuit can leave the factory matching and stop matching after one wash. It usually comes down to shade, shrinkage, or the rib trims, and each one gets fixed before sewing, not after.

  • Shade first: Fabric is dyed in batches, and no two batches of one color come out identical. We cut the hoodie and the jogger from a single dye lot and log the lot number on your order, so a reorder can be matched to it later.
  • Then shrinkage: Cotton knit shrinks more in length than in width, and a jogger leg is longer than a hoodie body, so the pants lose more length than the top. We use preshrunk, compacted fabric, wash test both pieces, and adjust the pattern so the set still fits after your customer's first few washes.
  • Rib is the one people forget: Cuffs, waistbands, and hem bands are often a separate rib fabric that takes dye differently from the body. We dye the rib and body to the same reference and hold them side by side before anything is sewn.

You can also order the top and bottom in different sizes within one run. Plenty of people wear a medium on top and a large on the bottom, and split sizing can cut returns on sets.

Jogging Suit Manufacturers for Athletic and Team Programs

A jogging suit sits between a lounge sweatsuit and a performance tracksuit. As jogging suit manufacturers for gyms, run clubs, schools, and team stores, we make them in lighter French terry or a cotton and polyester blend with a bit of stretch. Most get a tapered leg with ankle zippers and a fitted hood that does not flop around on a run.
Team and staff orders can carry names, numbers, and crests on each garment, with matching tees, shorts, and caps packed in the same carton. If the program needs fabric that wicks sweat instead of cotton, look at our gym clothing range.

Branding, Printing, and Garment Dye

  • Embroidery for chest logos and leg hits. 3D puff and tonal thread both sit well on heavyweight fleece.
  • Screen printing in plastisol, discharge, or water-based ink. Discharge and water-based sink into the cotton and stay soft, which is the hand-feel streetwear label usually wants.
  • Puff and high-density prints for raised chest and sleeve graphics.
  • Garment dye and pigment dye for a soft, washed look. Dyeing the finished top and bottom together also gets the two pieces to match, because they share one dye bath.
  • Custom trims: flat or round drawcords, metal or silicone tips, and branded zipper pulls.

Bulk Orders, Wholesale Packing, and Lead Times

As a wholesale sweatsuits supplier, we pack each order the way your warehouse or stores receive stock.

  • Minimum of 35 sets per color and design. Sizes can be mixed.
  • Sets bagged together under one barcode, or top and bottom bagged separately if sold as single pieces.
  • Prepacks by size ratio, cartons marked to packing list, and FNSKU labels for Amazon FBA.
  • Your neck labels, care labels, and hang tags packed in branded poly bags.
  • Sampling runs 10 to 15 business days; bulk production takes 15 to 20 business days.

Sweatsuits sell hardest from fall into winter, and that is the factory's busiest stretch too. For a fall drop, have samples approved by early summer.

What We Check Before a Sweatsuit Ships

  • The top and bottom of each set are checked for shade together under the same light.
  • Shrinkage tested on both finished pieces after washing, not just on the fabric roll.
  • Pilling resistance on fleece. A set that pills after a few washes tends to come back as a return.
  • Rib recovery at cuffs and waistbands, so they still grip after months of wear.
  • Every size measured against spec, an AQL 2.5 final inspection before cartons are packed, and photos sent to you after cutting, midway through production and before packing.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many sweatsuits do I need to order? +
We offer 35 sets per color and design. Sizes can be mixed inside that number.
What is the difference between a sweatsuit and a tracksuit? +
A sweatsuit is a cotton or cotton blend knit set, usually fleece or French terry, made for comfort and streetwear. A tracksuit is usually polyester, tricot, or taffeta with zippers and a smoother face, made for warming up and the sideline.
Which fabric weight should I choose? +
Midweight French terry between 280 and 340 GSM works in every season. Brushed fleece between 320 and 400 GSM is the classic winter weight, and 400 GSM and above suits oversized streetwear sets.
Will the hoodie and pants match in color? +
Yes. We cut both pieces from one dye lot, dye the rib trims to the same reference, and compare them side by side before sewing.
Can the top and bottom be ordered in different sizes? +
Yes. Split sizing is available within one run, which helps with customers who wear a different size top and bottom.
Do you supply sweatsuits wholesale? +
Yes. We pack sets together or separately, build prepacks to your size ratio for retail accounts, and label cartons for Amazon FBA or your 3PL.
