Golf Apparel Manufacturers for Brands Building Their Own Line

Mega Apparel is a custom golf apparel manufacturer with a US office in Los Angeles and our own production facility overseas. We have been making golf clothing since 2012, and more than 2,000 brands have run their orders through our factory.

Send us a tech pack, a rough sketch, or a garment you want improved. We take it from there. Pattern making, fabric sourcing, sampling, bulk production, labeling, and delivery to you, your warehouse or your third-party logistics partner. Our minimum is 35 pieces per style, so you can put a small collection in front of real buyers before you commit to a full season.

Most golf clothing manufacturers want 300 pieces per style before they will open a line for you. We do not work that way, and that is usually the reason brands call us first.

Golf Clothing We Manufacture

We build the full on-course kit, plus the clubhouse pieces your customers buy after the round. Every item below is made to your spec sheet. Nothing here is a blank garment with a logo slapped on it.

Golf Polo Shirts

Our most requested product. We cut polos in pique-knit polyester, poly-spandex interlock, and cotton blends between 150 and 200 GSM, with self-fabric or rib-knit collars that hold their shape after repeated washing. Choose short sleeves or long sleeves, a three-button or hidden placket, side vents, and a drop-tail hem. Moisture-wicking and UPF 50+ finishes are available on polyester constructions.

Golf Socks

Ankle, quarter, and crew heights in bamboo blends, combed cotton, and poly spandex, with arch support, a cushioned heel and toe, and mesh venting across the instep. Your logo is knitted rather than printed, so it survives the wash.

Golf Caps and Visors

Structured and unstructured six-panel caps, performance running style caps, rope caps, and visors. Decoration runs from 3D puff embroidery and flat embroidery to woven patches, leather patches, and silicone badges.

Golf Gloves

Cabretta leather and synthetic gloves in left and right hand fit, with ball marker snaps, mesh knuckle panels, and your logo on the closure tab. Sialkot has been making gloves for the global sports market for decades, and that supply chain sits on our doorstep.

Golf Pants and Trousers

Cut in four-way stretch woven poly-spandex, usually 180 to 240 GSM, with a stretch waistband, a gusseted crotch so the fabric moves through the swing, and a hidden closure. We produce straight fit, tapered fit, and jogger silhouettes with water-repellent finishes for early tee times.

Golf Shorts

Same fabric family as the pants, cut at 9, 10.5, and 11-inch inseams, which covers what the US market actually buys. Add cargo pockets, tee loops, belt loops, or an elastic side waist for a softer fit.

Golf Skirts and Skorts

Built with an inner short or compression liner, a hidden pocket sized for a scorecard or a phone, and a stretch waistband. Fabric is usually poly spandex, knit or woven, with a UPF finish.

Golf Jerseys

Full sublimation jerseys for teams, corporate outings, and tournament kits. The print covers the whole panel from seam to seam, and because the ink bonds into the polyester, it will not crack or peel the way a heavy screen print does.

Golf Sweaters

Knitted in merino wool blends, cotton acrylic, and cotton polyester. Crew neck, V neck, and quarter zip with rib trims at the cuff and hem. We can knit jacquard or intarsia patterns if you want a signature look rather than a plain body.

Quarter Zip Pullovers

Brushed-back polyester and poly-spandex quarter zips for cool mornings and shoulder season. Thumbholes, chin guards, and stretch underarm panels are all available.

Golf Vests

Bonded softshell and quilted vests that layer over a polo without restricting the shoulder. A common corporate and club order, usually bought alongside the polo program.

Performance Base Layers

Compression tops and thermal base layers in poly-spandex or brushed poly, flatlock stitched so the seams do not rub under a polo.

Golf Jackets and Windbreakers

Lightweight ripstop windbreakers, bonded softshells, and packable rain shells with taped seams and YKK zippers. Water repellent and windproof finishes are applied at the fabric stage, not sprayed on after.

Fabrics We Use and What They Are For

Fabric decides how a golf garment performs and how much it costs, so we start there on every project. If you already have a fabric in mind, send us the swatch or the composition, and we will match it. If you do not, here is what we normally recommend.

Fabric Typical weight Used for Properties

Private Label and Branding

Your customer should never see our name anywhere on the garment. Every order ships under your brand, with your labels, your packaging, and your barcodes..

  • Neck labels: Woven damask, satin, and taffeta labels; printed Tyvek; or heat transfer tagless prints for a no-scratch finish.
  • Hang tags: Custom shapes, card stock, foil stamping, string and pin, or plastic barb attachment.
  • Care and content labels: We print fiber content, country of origin, and care symbols in the format US retail expects under the FTC Care Labeling Rule and the Textile Fiber Products Identification Act. Send us your RN number and we will print it on the label.
  • Size labels: Separate size tabs or combined with the main label, in US sizing or your own grading.
  • Custom Packaging : Poly bags with your logo, custom mailers, tissue paper, boxes, and UPC or EAN barcode stickers applied per unit.
  • Retail-ready presentation: Folded, tagged, polybagged, and cartoned to your packing list so the goods can go straight to a store or a fulfillment center.

If you are shipping into Amazon FBA or a retail account, tell us at the quote stage. Barcode placement and carton labeling rules are easier to build into the run than to fix afterward.

Customization and Decoration

A golf brand lives or dies on how its logo sits on the chest. We run every decoration method in-house, which means we can tell you honestly which one suits your artwork instead of pushing you toward whatever machine happens to be free.

  • Embroidery: Flat, 3D puff, tonal, and applique, up to 15 thread colors per design. Standard placements are left chest, sleeve, back collar, and cap front. Best for logos with clean shapes and few gradients.
  • All over sublimation: Ink bonds into the fiber, so there is no hand feel and no cracking. Works on white polyester only, which is the A golf brand lives or dies by how its logo sits on the chest. • DTG and DTF: Direct to garment and direct to film for photographic artwork and short runs where a screen setup does not pay for itself.
  • Silicone and TPU badges: Raised, durable, and washable. A common choice for premium caps and technical outerwear.
  • Laser-cut perforation and bonded seams: Ventilation panels under the arm and clean taped edges on outerwear. Best for tournament jerseys and bold seam-to-seam prints.
  • Screen printing: Plastisol, water-based, and discharge inks for large flat color areas and high-volume runs.
  • Fabric dyeing and garment wash: Custom color development, pigment dye, garment dye, and enzyme wash for a softer finish.
  • Trims: YKK zippers, snap buttons, custom drawcords, reflective piping, contrast stitching, and branded buttons.

Who We Manufacture For

Golf apparel manufacturers tend to specialize in one type of client. We work across several, and the brief changes with each one.

  • Startup golf brands launching a first collection, usually four to eight styles at low quantities.
  • Established labels adding a season or replacing a supplier who missed a delivery window.
  • Pro shops and green grass accounts building a house label with better margins than a licensed brand.
  • Private clubs and resorts producing member and staff apparel with a crest or club mark.
  • Corporate outing and tournament organizers ordering gift kits on a fixed date.
  • College and high school golf teams needing matching kits in a full size range.
  • Promotional product distributors and uniform suppliers who need a factory behind their catalog.
  • Ecommerce sellers on Shopify and Amazon who need consistent reorders rather than one large drop.

How Your Order Moves Through the Factory

Nothing here is unusual. What matters is that you know what lands in your inbox at each stage and roughly how long it takes.

Brief and quote, 24 to 48 hours

You send your idea, tech pack, or reference garment. We come back with a price per piece, a minimum, and a delivery window. If the brief has a problem, a fabric that will not hold the print, or a placement that fights the seam, we say so at this stage rather than at sampling.

Design and tech pack

Our design team produces digital mockups and a technical pack covering measurements, fabric composition, GSM, Pantone references, trims, stitching, and label placement. You approve this before anything is cut.

Sampling, 10 to 14 days

We make a physical sample and courier it to you. Handle it, wash it, put it on a fitting model. Ask for changes. Multiple sampling revisions are included, which is a policy we keep because the alternative is a bulk run you are not happy with.

Pre-Production Sample and Sign-off

Once the changes are in, we produce the final approval sample in the exact fabric, color, and trim of the bulk run. Your written approval on this sample is the reference every piece in bulk is measured against.

Bulk production, 25 to 35 days

Fabric is inspected, cut, and stitched in your size ratio. We run inline checks during cutting and stitching rather than waiting until the end, because a measurement drift caught on day two is a fix and the same drift caught on day twenty is a reproduction.

Quality Inspection

Final random inspection before packing. Details are in the next section.

Labeling, Packing, and Delivery

Your labels, tags, and packaging go on; cartons are marked to your packing list, and the goods ship to your door, your warehouse, or your fulfillment partner.

Quality Control and Compliance

Quality control is not a step at the end. It runs alongside production.

  • Incoming fabric inspection using the four-point system, with GSM, width, and shade checked against the approved lot.
  • Shrinkage and colorfastness testing after wash, so a polo that fits in the sample fits after five cycles.
  • Inline checks at cutting, stitching, and finishing against the approved pre-production sample.
  • Final random inspection at AQL 2.5 for major defects and AQL 4.0 for minor defects.
  • Measurement audit against your size spec across the full graded range, not just the middle size.
  • Needle detection and metal-free packing before cartons are sealed.

On certification: Mega Apparel is ISO certified, and OEKO-TEX Standard 100 and GRS-certified fabric can be sourced when a project needs it. If you need a copy of a certificate for your own compliance file, ask and we will send it.

Why Brands Stay With Us

Why Brands Stay With Us

Winning a first order is not hard. Getting the second one is the real test, and that is where most golf clothing manufacturers lose a client.

  • Your patterns, marker files, and dye recipes stay on file, so a reorder six months later matches the first run instead of drifting a shade.
  • One project manager owns your account from the first quote to the final delivery. You are not repeating your brief to a new person every week.
  • Multiple sampling revisions are included rather than billed per round.
  • Free shipment on qualifying orders.
  • If a delivery is going to slip, you hear it from us before you hear it from your customer.

Frequently Asked Questions

35 pieces per style for logos work on our existing patterns and 50 pieces per style for full-custom cut and sew. Custom knit and or custom dyed fabric starts at 100 pieces because the mill sets that floor, not us.

Sampling takes 10 to 14 days from an approved tech pack. Bulk production runs 25 to 35 days after your sign off on the pre-production sample. Add 6 to 10 days for air freight or 30 to 40 days for sea freight to the United States.

Both. If you have a tech pack, we produce according to it. If you have a sketch, a mood board, or just a reference garment, our design team builds the tech pack and mockups for you before anything is cut.

Pique knit polyester between 150 and 190 GSM is the standard for performance polos because it wicks moisture and holds prints. Poly spandex interlock is the choice when you want stretch and a smoother feel. Cotton blends suit a heritage or clubhouse look but move less on the swing.
